Who we are?

Let us know each other

Our sessions

Our coaches at Howzat?! Children’s Cricket have over ten years of experience in teaching toddlers and children.

Our programmes are specifically designed to develop and enhance skills for each age group in the most interactive, enriching and fun way.

Each session will teach and practice all of the various sports techniques found within the classic game of cricket. We love to encourage all children to develop their own physical abilities in running, bowling, throwing and catching and also batting.

We also explore the use of colours, numbers, songs and sounds. For our toddlers, we add sensory play through discovery of different surfaces and textures. For our older children, we teach and develop more complicated techniques and skills, for example, how to spin the ball when bowling.

We have a massive emphasis on team work, cheering on others, and building lasting friendships through playing and sharing together in a safe environment.

Our sessions will benefit children of all ages from 2 years old and onwards, and provide fun for all the family as parents love to watch, cheer on and participate with their children. For our toddler groups we ask accompanying parents and guardians to help your children through the exercises so they can gain the most from their sessions.

Suited to every child

A ‘Learning Style’ is referred to different ways we learn, process and remember information – and we all have different styles that work best.

There are 4 main types of learning styles

  1. Visual (learn through seeing)
  2. Auditory (learn through hearing)
  3. Tactile (learn through touch)
  4. Kinaesthetic (learn through doing and moving)

Our programmes are specifically developed to ensure we cater to the above four learning styles so every child will feel confident in their learning, and feel comfortable and encouraged to freely explore their own skills.

We give every child the opportunity to learn, absorb and consolidate visuals, sounds, textures, actions and instructions.

Over the course of our programmes, our coaches are highly experienced in recognising what is the best method to introduce new and challenging methods to each child to suit their learning styles as well.

Our coaches

Our coaches have over ten years of experience in training others – both children and adults, in 1-2-1 and group sessions.

Amongst our team we have coaches who have played professional first class cricket for Essex County Cricket Club, toured internationally, and are members of local clubs such as Kew Cricket Club.

Collectively, our coaches share the experience of playing alongside famous players such as: Nasser Hussain, Darren Gough, Andy Flower, Mark Waugh, Alastair Cook and Ravi Bopara – to name a few!

All of our coaches are fully trained, qualified by the England and Wales Cricket Board and have a passion to develop others, especially children. They have all completed First Aid courses, are certified in safeguarding, and DBS checked.
